I have got to do better at updating our blog. The last month has had a lot going on and I'd love to show you pictures but since they were taken with my phone, they are all distorted. Oh well. So, we have been burning up the road between here and our hometown. When I promised Princess she could finish out dance classes there so she could dance at her recital, I had no idea how much I would begin to hate driving. It's only a two hour drive but it is so boring. Besides an occasional horse or cow, there is nothing to keep your attention. We have downloaded some books on audible.com and that has helped to pass the time. We read "Kisses from Katie" which we loved and now we are listening to "Yes, Chef". It's about a man who was adopted from Ethiopia by a Swedish couple in the 1970's and he is now a famous chef in New York. We are enjoying this one as well but I'm going to have to preview what we listen to from now on because he has a tendency to say some unpleasant words.
This week I had planned on staying home all week and take off driving in for lessons because we had spent all weekend there for Mother's Day. But...my newest niece had different ideas. That's right, my bubba is now a daddy!! Here we are at the baby shower in April. The three siblings with our momma. :)
We are patiently (ok, maybe not) waiting to hear when our court date is for our littlest man. Last Friday was the birth parent court date and the judge is waiting on one piece of paper to schedule our court date. Other families have gotten court dates as soon as 12 days after birth parent court date so we need to be ready to leave quickly! :) We are so ready!! Our visas came back last week, we are all caught up on shots, little lady Addie is here, and we are almost done with school. Now we just need to get through dance recital and everything will be in order. God must know I like checking things off.
Well I hope I don't wait another month to write in and I hope I have a court date to share with you next time! I hope you're having a great week and if you have little people in your life, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy the littles in my life. Even if it does mean burning up the road :)
